Senior Investment Partner
Ben, a connector and collaborator, focuses on networking the corporate partners, investors, mentors, and students of Berkeley’s entrepreneurial community and finds ways to capitalize on local resources. As a JD/MBA student, Ben brings an entrepreneurial mindset and transactional legal perspective to Arrow Capital. After graduating with a degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ben worked for the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and worked with local startups before attending Berkeley Law and Haas. Ben is originally from Savannah, GA and is particularly interested in FinTech, Entertainment, Consumer Products, and Legal Tech.
Impressed by the astounding opportunity offered by the University of California’s startup ecosystem, Alex is thrilled to support the growth of startups that are looking to impact society in a positive way. Alex grew up in the Washington D.C. area and has a interest in platform-based companies that offer EdTech applications. He is pursuing a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and Business Administration through Berkeley’s M.E.T. program. He has worked as a Product Management Intern on GoDaddy's Website Builder team in San Francisco and as a Software Development Intern at Upskill – a startup in Tysons, Virginia. He also started and sold a student-run tutoring company that continues to operate in Bethesda, Maryland.
Through Arrow Capital, Amy looks forward to supporting UC startups that are impact-driven and have the potential to fulfill a real and pressing need in society. This past summer, she worked in product development and software engineering for a new product initiative at Eventbrite. Originally from Irvine, California, Amy is currently pursuing a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science + Business Administration through UC Berkeley’s M.E.T. program.
Austin joined Arrow to fuel growth across the UC startup ecosystem. She is passionate about working with businesses with the potential to have a tangible impact on people’s lives and sees Arrow as the earliest gateway. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Middlebury College, Austin worked on public health projects across Tanzania and Rwanda and most recently worked for Oxeon Partners, a firm growing healthcare startups through financial and human capital. Currently a dual MBA/MPH student at Haas, Austin is particularly excited about healthcare innovation. She is originally from Sun Valley Idaho.
Rudy is a Masters in Information & Data Science student at the school of information looking at Machine Learning & AI being applied toward tangible customer or business challenges. His areas of study and research involve Reinforcement Learning & Deep Learning applications. Prior to data science research, he started an air pollution respirator company that distributed masks during the Bay Area fires. He interned previously under the CEO of Intertrust, and before that in Venture Capital in Tel Aviv. Rudy’s areas of interest are Machine Learning, FinTech, Logistics, Energy, Cybersecurity, and BioPharma. His other interests include basketball, cheap airline tickets, New Zealand wine, and air pollution.
As a fourth-year Media Studies student, Alannah is passionate about promoting partnerships through building strong marketing and content strategies. She looks forward to helping connect the UC community to Arrow Capital through various forms of outreach and media channels. Previously, Alannah worked in entertainment publicity through Allied Global Marketing, and most recently interned abroad in Sydney, Australia as a business journalist with the Genesis entrepreneurial program.
