Meet the Arrow Team

(From left to right) Rudy, Amy, Alannah, Ben, Austin, Niles

Being a student-run venture capital firm, our Arrow Capital team inherently experiences evolution as partners graduate and new, passionate members enter the scene. During the Spring 2019 semester, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Levi wrapped up their time at UC Berkeley and went on to further pursue their careers. This semester, Ben, Amy, and Niles are looking forward to continuing their work with Arrow Capital and are excited to be joined by the newest additions to the team: Austin, Rudy, and Alannah.

While supporting and growing entrepreneurship is a common objective that partners at Arrow Capital can come together on, we are all very different individually. We vary in our academic stages at UC Berkeley - some of us are undergraduates, while others are enrolled in graduate programs – and we all pair our educational pursuits with a variety of extracurricular activities. From an outsider’s perspective, balancing student life, keeping up with work obligations, and juggling other aspects to our personal everyday routines may seem impossible. But, as zealous young professionals, we thrive off of this environment that allows us to work towards our own career goals, while helping others reach success in their ambitions too. Our diverse interests and backgrounds complement each other, making the Arrow Capital team one that offers gateways to many connections, resources, and perspectives.

Our roles at Arrow Capital are all distinctive and important, as reflected in our site bios; but here’s a glimpse into who we are outside of the world of venture capital:

Advice you’d go back and give your younger self?

A journey in part of your life is not about the destination, it’s about the trip and the people you meet along the way. You get a lot more out of being present and trying to make lasting connections than you will from focusing on being the best worker.

Ideal day off?

Basketball with my law school and business school classmates, followed by a lite brunch and an afternoon in the park at Lake Merritt with a book, a bottle of wine, some spikeball, and friends.
